AG Griffin announces two arrests for Medicaid fraud

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Attorney General Tim Griffin announced two arrests were made for Medicaid fraud on April 30.

According to reports, 35-year-old Porcha Birdo of West Memphis was arrested after submitting claims for personal care services while working as a personal care aide.

The claims indicated that the services were provided to her child; however, services provided to a caregiver’s own children aren’t eligible for reimbursement under the Medicaid Personal Care Program. As a result of these improper claims, Medicaid was billed $18,693.12…
