MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man told to leave a Northeast Memphis restaurant is accused of coming back with a gun and firing multiple shots at employees.
No one was hurt in the shooting outside Tequila Town Restaurant on March 2, but police said they found nine spent 9mm casings in the parking lot and identified Roberto Ortiz as the shooter.
Ortiz was booked in the Shelby County Jail on Friday for Criminal Attempted First Degree Murder, Employing a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Aggravated Assault.
Employees said they saw Ortiz assaulting a woman inside the business, intervened, and asked him to leave. They said that’s when Ortiz said, “You’re going to die”…
