Property owners in Mesa Public Schools’ boundaries will likely see a temporary levy that would bring in $4.1 million so the district can cover a revenue shortfall.
The shortage is largely caused by lower assessed property valuations in the prior year and delinquent tax collections, according to the district.
“This one is pennies,” board member Rachel Walden said at the May 28 board meeting. “It’s nothing anybody’s going to notice.”
