PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A powerful ridge of high pressure is moving in this week, and it’s bringing dangerously hot conditions to the Valley. We’re calling three First Alert Weather Days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday as an Extreme Heat Warning takes effect.
Here’s what you need to know
Temperatures will climb to 114 degrees on Tuesday, 115 on Wednesday (that’s the hottest day of the week) and 113 on Thursday. The warning runs from 10 a.m. Tuesday through 8 p.m. Thursday.
But here’s what makes this dangerous: the overnight lows will stay very warm. Your body won’t get relief, even at night.
