PHOENIX, AZ — A private investigator says a new tip has led him to a potential suspect in the 1995 disappearance of television news anchor Jodi Huisentruit, a case that has remained unsolved for decades.
Steve Ridge said someone recently came forward with information that helped him make progress in the investigation. He said the tip gave him a better sense of what may have happened, though he has not identified the person he believes is involved.
Cold case began when Huisentruit never arrived for her morning broadcast
The case dates to 1995 in Mason City, Iowa, where Huisentruit failed to show up for her morning news shift. Her body was never found and no one has ever been charged in connection with her disappearance.
