MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A Mesa man is accused of stabbing his wife 24 times because he wanted to make her stop talking, according to Maricopa County prosecutors.
The suspect, Nathaniel Gotham, made his first court appearance on Sunday.
Officers responded to an apartment on University Drive near 40th Street on Saturday and found the woman with serious injuries. She was taken to a hospital and is said to be in stable condition, Mesa police said.
