Over $5M in claims filed against Mesa Police

Mesa Police Department was socked with claims totaling over $5 million submitted in June for alleged damages committed by its officers.

The city declined comment citing pending litigation. Mesa has 60 days to respond to the demands for compensation. A claim is a precursor to a lawsuit.
