Old Town Tortilla Factory permanently closed after 30 years at 6910 E. Main St. in Scottsdale.
The restaurant had announced on June 28 that it would take a routine summer break, closing June 30 and returning to the patio August 3. Then, on Friday, July 31—three days before the promised reopening—ownership posted again to say the closure would be permanent.
That abrupt reversal surprised customers who had treated the restaurant as a special-occasion destination since 1996…
