Man chased into roadway, hit by alleged impaired driver in Phoenix dies

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man who was arguing with a woman before being chased into the road and hit by a car has died, officials with the Phoenix Police Department said.

On Aug. 22, around 11 p.m., first responders were called to reports that a person had been hit by a car near 28th and Peoria avenues.

When officers arrived, they found a man, identified as Gregory Jones, 53, with life-threatening injuries, according to the Phoenix Police Department. He was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition, where he died on Monday, officials said…
