Roman God of Fire offers wood-fired cooking inspired by ancient Rome

Roman God of Fire is bringing a taste of Ancient Rome to Tempe Town Lake.

State of play: The restaurantopened last month at Hayden Ferry Lakeside in Tempe, at Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway.

  • The restaurant is a celebration of ancient Rome, with a menu inspired by the wood-fired cooking of the Roman hearth, co-founder Teddy Myers told the Phoenix New Times.
  • Ancient Rome also guides the decor, with statues and other artistic elements straight out of antiquity.
