PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Plan ahead, drivers! Several major freeways will be shut down throughout the weekend for ongoing construction projects across the Valley.
Drivers will see closures along the Loop 101 Agua Fria, Loop 101 Pima, Loop 202 Santan, Loop 303 and SR 51 this weekend.

Central Phoenix
- Northbound State Route 51 closed from Indian School Road to Colter Street from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement rehabilitation project
East Valley
- Northbound Loop 101 Pima closed between University Drive and McKellips Road from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for pavement maintenance
- Westbound Loop 202 Santan closed between Cooper and Alma School roads from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for widening project
Ramp closures:
- Northbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Southern Avenue and Broadway Road
- Westbound Loop 202 Red Mountain ramp closed to southbound Loop 101
- Westbound Loop 202 on-ramps at Val Vista Drive, Lindsay and Gilbert roads
North-Northwest Phoenix
- Westbound Loop 101 Agua Fria closed between 51st and 75th avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for widening project
Ramp closures:
- Westbound Loop 101 on-ramps at 27th and 35th avenues
- North- and southbound I-17 ramps to westbound Loop 101
- East- and westbound I-17 ramps to northbound I-17
West Valley
- Northbound Loop 101 Agua Fria will close between Interstate 10 and Indian School Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for widening project
- Westbound Loop 303 closed at 43rd Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge construction
Ramp closures:
- East- and westbound I-10 ramps to northbound Loop 101
For Maricopa drivers that regularly use SR 347, the highway will narrow to one lane in both directions between Casa Blanca Road and Cement Plant Road from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers should be cautious of the paving project and be prepared to slow down and merge…
