PHOENIX — A 23-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison plus 26 years for fatally shooting his girlfriend 11 times while driving around Tempe in June 2023.
Prosecutors said that Adrian Aguilar shot 19-year-old Amria Crofton over the course of 45 minutes after seeing a text message from another man on her phone. Aguilar demanded Crofton tell him whether she was cheating and threatened to shoot her if she didn’t.
