PHOENIX — Air travel safety is drawing increased attention across Arizona following four small plane crashes reported within the past week. While the incidents may seem alarming, aviation experts say the recent uptick does not necessarily signal a broader safety issue.

The crashes — ranging from a runway overrun in Fort Mohave to a plane flipping near Cave Creek, a deadly in Marana, and an emergency landing on a Phoenix street where all occupants survived — have sparked concern among residents.
