Chandler firefighters help reunite owner with pack of loose golden retrievers

CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — Authorities have found the owner of a pack of dogs discovered Friday morning in Chandler.

The five golden retrievers were found near the intersection of Alma School and Ray roads. According to the Chandler Fire Department, a woman who saw the pups was concerned, picked them up and brought them to a nearby fire station.

Firefighters cared for the dogs and contacted animal control, which responded to pick them up. Chandler Fire said none of the dogs were microchipped.

A couple of hours later, firefighters said the dogs’ owner stopped by the fire station and later went to Maricopa County Animal Care and Control to be reunited with the pets…
