‘I just want my daughter back’: Woman claims 2-year-old was hers after being arrested in abduction

AVONDALE, Ariz. — Newly released body camera footage from the Avondale Police Department is shedding light on the urgent response that led to the rescue of a 2-year-old girl abducted from her home earlier this year.

The case, which prompted a statewide Amber Alert in February, ended with the safe recovery of the child and the arrest of 23-year-old Marina Noriega, who now faces felony charges.

According to police, the incident began on Feb. 21 when officers responded to reports that 2-year-old Kehlani Rogers had been taken from her home.
