MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is fighting for his life, and a suspect is in custody after a shooting in a Mesa neighborhood early Saturday morning.
Shortly after 4 a.m., Mesa police received reports about a person who had been shot near University Drive and Greenfield Road. Multiple callers reported hearing gunshots in the area, according to authorities.
Once police arrived, they found the victim shot at least once. He was rushed to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
