Sunday swelter in South Florida with possible temperatures as high as 110

People should stay hydrated, take cooling breaks and wear light clothing, as heat index temperatures of 105 to 110 degrees are expected Sunday in South Florida.

The National Weather Service in Miami issued a heat advisory, which remains in effect through 7 p.m. A heat index combines temperature and humidity, leading to a higher “feels like” temperature.

Some counties — Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Collier and Monroe — may see extreme heat, the National Weather Service said. People could experience long durations of high temperatures with little to no overnight relief from the swelter…
