Ethan O’Connor Comes Through In Big Moment For Miami

On Friday night, the No. 5 Miami Hurricanes improved their record to 3-0 after defeating the (2-1) Wake Forest Demon Deacons 33-20. The second half was not pretty, however, veteran defensive back Ethan O’Connor came through when the Hurricanes needed him to.

Wake Forest was trying to make a second-half comeback and had multiple chances to get the game within one possession. However, O’Connor put the nail in the coffin by picking off Gio Lopez, ending the Demon Deacons’ hopes of a comeback.

He spoke to the media after the game-sealing interception, here is what he had to say after the play: “Right before that play, not getting the football. That was something I was thinking about. I was like, I gotta make it up my guys, and I just allowed my technique, but needed the guy behind me too, and I just made the play.”…
