Opening this spring at CocoWalk, Grand Public Kitchen + Bar introduces an electric new destination for everyday elevated dining in Coconut Grove. Created by hospitality veterans Matthew Tsoumaris and Ryan Bassels, the concept blends modern American cuisine with global coastal influences, a high-energy bar program, seamless day-to-night programming and private events.

Set within a 7,400-square-foot indoor-outdoor space, Grand Public pairs warm, natural design with a lively, social atmosphere that’s equally suited for casual lunches, group dinners and late-night cocktails. A sculptural wraparound bar sits at the heart of the room, pulling people in and setting the tone between eating and socializing. Around it, curved banquettes, woven rattan and warm wood finishes carve out intimate corners within a space that still feels open and connected. Tropical greenery winds throughout, dissolving the edge between inside and the lush landscape outside.

Bold and deliberate, the palette moves from hand-painted tiles in deep earth tones to rich greens and graphic patterns that climb the walls and wrap the ceilings. Overhead, layered lighting eases the room from bright and airy to warm and atmospheric as the day winds down.
