MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Milwaukee’s 55th annual Juneteenth celebration is now 22 days away.
The party on June 19 seems to grow every year, and on Wednesday, a large group of organizers and partners gathered to tell us about it.
A press conference was held at Northcott Neighborhood House, host of Juneteenth Day. The holiday commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, and in Milwaukee, the celebration has come to include a jubilee parade, a festival on the city’s north side, a freedom ball, and more…
