WAUKESHA, Wis. A 34-year-old Pewaukee man, accused of driving drunk and being involved in a pair of hit-and-run crashes in a Brookfield parking lot back in January 2026, pleaded no contest and was sentenced to probation.

In court on June 8, Brett Meinecke pleaded no contest to negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (OWI), 2nd offense, both misdemeanors.

A misdemeanor charge of operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration (PAC) was dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion.
