MILWAUKEE (WBAY) – New campaign finance reports covering July 1 through July 27 show Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley raised the most among Democratic candidates in the Wisconsin governor’s race, bringing in $778,000.
The figure is notable given Crowley dropped out of the race on July 8, then re-entered 10 days later with the endorsement of Gov. Evers after Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez dropped out in the middle of the month.
Democratic field fundraising totals
State Rep. Francesca Hong, who led the most recent Marquette Poll, raised approximately $338,000 during the reporting period, placing her second in the Democratic field.
State Sen. Kelda Roys and former Secretary of Administration Joel Brennan each raised more than $100,000, though both trailed Rodriguez and former Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, who dropped out of the race last week.
Tiffany leads on Republican side
