MILWAUKEE — A man charged with killing his tenant and a witness in Milwaukee is seeking a McMorris Motion in purist of a self defense claim.
Kevin Griffin faces charges of first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree reckless homicide after he allegedly shot Terrance Wilder while trying to evict him over a drug deal, then shot a witness to the crime, A’nya Raymond, in a car hours later on Nov. 5.
A McMorris Motion allows a defense team to introduce evidence about a victim’s previous violent behavior, in order to support a self-defense claim for the defendant.
