“I’ve been so disappointed in your publication with a few of you who have treated us so inappropriately,” Tom Tiffany told a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter on Sept. 18. Six days later, his campaign blocked two other Journal Sentinel reporters from attending a campaign event.
“Right now we would like to see the Journal Sentinel cover the race fairly and when that happens we’ll be happy to accommodate,” Tiffany staffer Eric Brooks said in response to questions from the Journal Sentinel.
The event, which took place in Milwaukee’s Third Ward business district, drew widespread media attention over the decision, and for good reason.
