Tenants get help with belongings after U-Haul storage facility fire

MILWAUKEE — Tenants got a first look at their belongings after a fire last week at a U-Haul storage facility in Walker’s Point.

On Saturday, movers with U-Haul were on site helping people sort through what was left and remove their belongings. They were cleaning items off before moving them into new storage units or loading them onto trucks.

Around 25 storage units were impacted by the fire that happened last Monday. Representatives with U-Haul said they were there to support their customers.

“So many people who have come here from different states to move people around… but I just wanted to say we are here for the community because we are part of the community,” said Leiann Milison of U-Haul…
