Eric ‘Shake’ James on why he never stopped reaching back

Before Eric “Shake” James was designing shoes with adidas, he was pulling the hair on his face hoping for a goatee like Magic Johnson. He grew up in Milwaukee, got bused across the city as a kid, and built a brand from the ground up with nothing but a story to tell. That brand is CLICKS, a name he constructed by taking the CL out of clothes and the ICK out of kicks, a nod to what he calls the marriage between what you wear and what you walk in. The 414 Day “View Finder” sneaker, his third adidas collaboration tied to Milwaukee’s annual celebration, is the latest chapter in that story.
