Milwaukee police say a body was recovered from the Milwaukee River near the 1300 block of E. Wright Street on Tuesday morning at around 7:10 a.m.
Fire officials say a bystander found the body and reported it to emergency officials.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the person who died has not been identified, and the cause of death is under investigation.
