Plea hearing scheduled for former D.C. Everest employee charged with child enticement

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAW) – A plea hearing is scheduled for a former Greenheck Turner Community Center employee with child enticement charges.

Online court records show Bennet Schmitz, 23, of Schofield, has a plea/sentencing hearing scheduled for July 16, 2026.

Schmitz was charged with two counts of child enticement and one count of sex assault of a student by school staff in Milwaukee County court. Schmitz waived his right to a preliminary hearing. The judge found probable cause and bound Schmitz over for trial.

Schmitz posted a $20,000 cash bond. The judge ordered that bond to continue…
