MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Although Memorial Day isn’t for another week, hundreds of volunteers packed inside of Forest Home Cemetery on Saturday morning to prepare for the holiday.
The goal was to place flags at the graves of each veteran buried on site.
“Actually, I wasn’t expecting so many people so it’s great, I think it’s great,” said volunteer Dwane Klostermann, who is a veteran himself. “It’s great to come out and help to memorialize some of the veterans laid to rest at the cemetery.”…
