17-year-old shot near Brady Street, Milwaukee mayor responds by encouraging attendance at ‘Peace Week’ events

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting near Milwaukee’s Brady Street, a popular area for restaurants and bars.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Monday, May 18, near the intersection of Cambridge and Brady Street. The victim, a 17-year-old, went to an area hospital for their injuries.

Laura Thompson-Mason said she heard loud popping noises during the time of the shooting.

“I never really tend to worry about my neighborhood with that.,” Thompson-Mason said. “It is really rare around here still, so I’m hoping it stays that way.”…
