The Dakota is bringing back its downtown block party for a second year

The Dakota celebrated its 40th anniversary last year by doing what it does best, but bigger. It dropped a stage on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis for a day-long block party filled with music and food.

That song is getting a reprise, as the venue has announced it’ll bring the free block party back for a second year.

While the lineup has yet to be shared, the Dakota says its block party on Sept. 26 will be even bigger than the inaugural installment.

As was the case last year, there will be live music on an outdoor stage, shows inside the Dakota, and, new this year, performances at The Quinlan Room by Dakota, a new space inside the Young Quinlan building, which hosted its first public event earlier this month…
