MINNEAPOLIS — The Annunciation community gathered Saturday at the Lake Harriet Bandshell to honor the life of 8-year-old Fletcher Merkel, one of two students killed in last year’s school shooting, by celebrating one of the things he loved most: fishing.
The inaugural “Fishing for Fletcher” event drew hundreds of families, friends, and supporters, transforming grief and remembrance into joy through a day centered on connection, community, and giving back.
