After months of teases and a deluge of concert announcements, Live Nation will open its new Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee on Saturday, June 20.
The airy venue will offer something Minnesota’s live music ecosystem has lacked: A large-scale, permanent outdoor concert venue.
It’ll open the gates this weekend with an event dubbed “Setting the Stage,” a chance for curious listeners to look around the space with a bill that features Minnesota talent, including Morris Day & the Time and Motion City Soundtrack.
As crews finished last-minute work on Thursday, Live Nation offered media a preview of the amphitheater that will welcome acts like Bob Dylan, Kesha, the Dave Matthews Band, Wu-Tang Clan, and Chris Stapleton this summer…
