A Minneapolis man is accused of being under the influence of alcohol and drugs when he fatally struck a bicyclist while behind the wheel earlier this year.
Charges filed in Hennepin County allege that Diallo Greer, 23, was behind the wheel of a vehicle that collided with a bicyclist at East 35th Street and Hiawatha Avenue on April 20.
The bicyclist, a man in his 50s, was thrown a “considerable distance” from his bike and died from his injuries.
Officers responded to the scene and allegedly smelled alcohol on Greer, who gave a breath test reading of .086, and later gave a blood test reading of .057. Minnesota’s legal limit is .08…
