A Minneapolis driver allegedly tried to hit a construction worker before fleeing through city streets, including sidewalks and one-way roads in the wrong direction. The dangerous run ended when a Hennepin County Violent Offender Task Force vehicle disabled the car, and detectives took the driver into custody.
The incident unfolded Thursday during a focused enforcement detail involving multiple agencies, according to a Facebook post from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office. An MPD officer reportedly witnessed the vehicle attempt to strike a construction worker near 33rd Street and Dupont Avenue and tried to stop it.
