After three years of pop-ups and private dinners, a local sushi chef is opening his own restaurant in downtown Minneapolis.
Sushi by Baaska revealed Thursday that it’s leasing and renovating the longtime ZenBox Izakaya space at 602 Washington Ave. S., though its opening date hasn’t been set yet.
“This has been a dream of mine for a long time,” chef Baaska Tegshbileg says in a video announcement. “Now we finally have a restaurant where people can gather, share their moments, have good company, and enjoy good food.”
