Minneapolis officials advance liquor license renewal for Uptown nightclub

It appears that a Minneapolis nightclub where a mass shooting occurred a month ago won’t lose its liquor license after all, following the city’s review of the venue.

During a Minneapolis City Council committee meeting Tuesday, a liquor license renewal for Reign Event Center won unanimous approval. The item now heads to the full council, which typically signs off on multiple liquor license renewals at a time without additional consideration.
