Young Eden Prairie artists’ work hits the road

Two young Eden Prairie artists saw their work at a new scale Aug. 20: stretched across SouthWest Transit buses.

Maya Chang, 13, and McKinley Ulfers, 15, won SouthWest Transit’s second annual Community Design Contest for young artists. The wrapped buses were displayed at East Creek Station in Chaska as the students met members of the SouthWest Transit Commission and discussed their work.

The contest invited artists ages 11 to 18 who live or attend school in SouthWest Transit’s service area to create designs inspired by the Minnesota State Fair and the Renaissance Festival.
