UPDATE: A severe thunderstorm warning was issued in Minneapolis, in effect until around 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
The warning covers an area including downtown, Near North, Northeast, and the inner-ring suburbs of Golden Valley, St. Louis Park, and St. Anthony.
