Denny’s franchisee abruptly closes its Minnesota, Wisconsin restaurants

A Denny’s franchise owner in Minnesota and Wisconsin abruptly closed all restaurants and terminated its workers last week.

M15 Inc. notified employees of the Sept. 3 restaurant closures in a notice the prior day, writing: “It is with profound regret that we inform you that M15 Inc. will permanently close its Denny’s restaurants in Minnesota and Wisconsin effective 7:00 AM on September 3, 2026. Your employment with M15 Inc. will end at that time.”

The now-closed Denny’s restaurants are in Burnsville, North Branch, Maplewood, Roseville and Hudson.

M15 Inc.’s notice said it borrowed “substantial amounts of money” over the past year and no longer had the revenue and cash needed to operate the restaurants amid collection activity from lenders…
