Sheriff: Suspect in Coon Rapids triple homicide arrested

Authorities have announced an arrest in Friday’s triple homicide in Coon Rapids.

The incident happened on the 200 block of 94th Avenue Northwest around 12:30 p.m. Police responded to the scene after receiving an open-line 911 call with sounds of a disturbance in the background, and found three people dead inside the residence.

On Saturday morning, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office announced that an adult male has been taken into custody, though the “names and ages of the suspect and victims will be released at a later time.”

The sheriff’s office also says that two juveniles who were in the residence at the time of the incident were not injured.

The investigation is still underway.
