(Willmar MN-) The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Department has released the names of those involved in Tuesday’s violence in Kandiyohi County that left one man dead, another wounded and the alleged gunman in jail. The suspect is 25-year-old Ameer Musa Matariyeh of Minneapolis. Matariyeh will be arraigned on murder and other charges in Kandiyohi County District Court this week. He is accused of killing 55-year-old Jerome Skluzacek of New London during a carjacking attempt on the Highway 23 Bypass on the south side of Willmar around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. And the man he allegedly shot earlier in the day is 25-year-old Peter Mayerchak of Lake Lillian, who is listed in stable condition at an undisclosed hospital and is expected to survive.
