A summertime staple in Minneapolis is returning next month. The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRD) has announced its lineup for Movies in the Park.
The 47-movie run begins with “Grease” on June 3 and runs through a Sept. 5 screening of “Rocky” at Bryant Square Park.
As usual, it’s a schedule heavy on recently released, family-friendly fare, including a few from this year, such as “Hoppers,” “Goat,” and “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.”
Amid the screenings of “Smurfs” and “The Secret Life of Pets” are a handful of movies aimed at older audiences, like “Best in Show,” “Sharknado,” “Wayne’s World,” “TRON: Ares,” “F1,” and “The Fifth Element.”…
