Authorities ID driver who died after hitting Metro Transit bus in Minneapolis

Authorities have identified the speeding driver who crashed into a Metro Transit bus, sending into the front of an unoccupied house, and died at the scene in south Minneapolis.

Dionisio Martin Limon, 28, of Minneapolis, was pronounced dead at the scene near Powderhorn Park after the crash, which happened shortly before 4:30 a.m. Monday, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police determined that Limon was speeding in a pickup truck and ran a stop sign at the intersection of 10th Avenue South and East 38th Street right before hitting the back of the bus.

The bus driver was hospitalized with injuries that aren’t life-threatening, and there were no passengers aboard since the bus hadn’t yet started service for the morning…
