Minneapolis nonprofit says program director killed in robbery

An Army veteran who helped lead a Minneapolis nonprofit has died of injuries sustained during a robbery, the organization said Monday.

Every Third Saturday (ETS), which runs Rick’s Coffee Bar in the Nokomis East neighborhood, wrote on Facebook: “It is with profound sadness that we have lost our Internship Director, Amos Ferrier. Amos was severely injured during a robbery and lost his life.”

According to ETS’ website, Ferrier served as an Army medic for 15 years and oversaw the career coaching and other personal development work at Rick’s Coffee Bar.
