Baldwin Co. Commission to consider $506K increase for new DA building

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (NBC 15) — The Baldwin County Commission is set to consider a change order that would increase the contract price for the county’s new District Attorney’s Office building in Bay Minette by more than half a million dollars.

The item is expected to come before commissioners at their next meeting on July 7.

Change Order No. 4 lists $506,186 in additional labor and materials for Rolin Construction, the contractor building the project. The work is described as modifications to the existing District Attorney’s Office building so the current space can function effectively with the newly constructed building. The change order says the project includes demolition of designated areas and construction of new connecting sections between the two buildings to improve access for employees and the public, while enhancing overall building security…
