MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A 38-year-old Mobile man was arrested Thursday after allegedly striking a police officer with metal rebar and breaking windows at several businesses on Dauphin Street, according to the Mobile Police Department.
Officers responded to the 3200 block of Dauphin Street at approximately 6:30 p.m. following reports of a man swinging a piece of rebar and breaking storefront windows. Police say the suspect struck an officer with the rebar, but the officer was not seriously injured.
