UPDATE (8:45 p.m.) — We are learning more about a major wreck on the Causeway.
According to Spanish Fort Police Chief John Barber, a vehicle traveling westbound Saturday afternoon crossed into the eastbound lanes, causing the crash. Nine people were transported for medical care, four by helicopter and five by ground.
