MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Comedian and Alabama native Matt Mathews is responding to the comments he is receiving online after it was announced that he would be a part of the grand opening at Mobile’s Regions Arena.

“It’s been brought to my attention that some people in Mobile aren’t too happy that I was the first artist announced for the new Regions Arena,” Mathews wrote in a post.
