MOBILE, Ala. (NBC 15) — Mobile Baykeeper is inviting Baldwin County residents to a town hall later Thursday night to talk about how the county can grow without sacrificing its waterways, infrastructure or quality of life.
The event comes after a year of listening sessions with residents, business owners, local leaders and community groups across Baldwin County. Baykeeper says the concerns have been consistent: worsening flooding, muddy runoff, sewage systems under strain, disappearing wetlands, heavier traffic and waterways that are becoming harder to fish, swim and enjoy.
At the town hall on Thursday, July 16, Baykeeper will present its Smart Growth Regulation Recommendations, a set of proposed policies meant to guide development in a way that protects water quality and natural resources…
